About the role
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse position involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients within a hospital setting. This role is ideal for professionals with ICU experience seeking to work in a dynamic environment with diverse patient needs.
The ICU unit comprises 12 beds with patient ratios of 2:1. The unit manages conditions such as sepsis, COPD exacerbation, hypotension urgency, and hypertension urgency. Occasionally, staff may float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized critical care to adult patients in the ICU
Requirements
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- 1 year of ICU experience
- Associates degree in nursing or higher
- North Carolina licensure or ability to obtain
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
