Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,965 per week

About the Role

The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility located in Wilson, North Carolina. The position involves providing critical care services in a busy ICU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) setting. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care, interpret EKGs, manage critical drips such as vasopressors and sedation, and collaborate with a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care services in ICU and IMU settings
• Interpret EKGs and manage critical drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedation)
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a team-oriented environment
• Care for adult patient populations with diagnoses such as COPD, ARF, DKA, sepsis, and shock

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a registered nurse
• Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
• 1.5+ years of related ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of critical drips such as vasopressors and sedation titration

Job Details

• Location: Wilson, North Carolina
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Unit details: Tele overflow unit with 16 beds, patient ratios of ICU 2:1, IMU 3:1, and Tele 1:5. Equipment includes cardiac monitors, hospital beds with bed scale, Abbott glucometer, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Baxter IV pumps, and bedside dialysis capability.
