Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,815 per week
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) travel position in Aurora, Colorado. This opportunity involves providing specialized patient care in a busy, Level II Trauma Center ICU that handles a diverse patient population, including post-operative open-heart surgery and ECMO cases. The role offers an immersive experience working with advanced medical equipment and a collaborative nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in a 38-bed ICU at a Level II Trauma Center.
- Manage a diverse patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiac, neurosurgical, post-operative open-heart surgery, and ECMO cases.
- Operate advanced medical equipment such as Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II, Impella, ECMO Maquet Cardiohelp, Medtronic Vital Flow, and NICOM monitoring.
- Work collaboratively within a team of approximately 125 staff members across day and night shifts.
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios ranging from 2:1 to 1:1 based on acuity.
Requirements
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience.
- Eligibility to work in the specified location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic medical record system.
- Expertise in CVICU/CTICU care.
- Experience with post-operative open-heart surgery patient care.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum 36 hours per week.
- 13-week assignment starting 09/14/2026.
