The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility located in Fredericksburg, Texas. This role involves providing specialized critical care services on a day shift, supporting patients with complex medical needs. The position requires a dedicated and compassionate professional capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Day shift
• 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Weekend coverage every other week
• No on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide patient monitoring and care in a unit equipped with advanced monitoring devices and life-support equipment
• Adhere to unit policies and manage patient protocols such as STEMI and Stroke
• Ensure quality patient outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Active State Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 0 years of recent ICU experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Uniform: navy blue scrubs
• No floating requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a charge nurse or in a role requiring multitasking and independent decision-making
• Familiarity with ICU equipment including Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, and GE EKG machines
• Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills
