Travel Nurse RN - Hematology / Oncology - $2,211 per week

About the role

Seeking a Med Surg Oncology RN for a collaborative 24-bed unit caring for oncology, bone marrow transplant, gynecologic oncology, hospice, and general medical-surgical patients. This unit manages a higher-acuity population than a typical Med Surg floor and places a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Care for oncology, bone marrow transplant, gynecologic oncology, hospice, and general medical-surgical patients.
• Manage a higher-acuity patient population.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to life-threatening cardiac rhythms.
• Administer chemotherapy if certified.
• Use pain medication infusions and PCA pumps.
• Provide respiratory support including CPAP and high-flow oxygen.

• Experience Requirements: BMT or chemotherapy experience strongly preferred, Minimum 1 year of recent Oncology RN experience accepted, General Med Surg candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience, First-time travelers are welcome, Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to life-threatening cardiac rhythms

Qualifications

• Current BLS
• Oncology or chemotherapy certification is preferred, A current chemotherapy certification is required to independently administer chemotherapy
