About the role

Gastroenterology Laboratory Specialist in an acute care setting. This position involves supporting endoscopy procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, and hemorrhoid banding. The role requires knowledge of endoscopy equipment and procedures, with a focus on intra-operative circulation nursing.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility for case completion
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Assignment dates: 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026
• On-call responsibilities during holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Support endoscopy procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, hemorrhoid banding)
• Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment
• Perform intra-operative circulation nursing duties
• Adhere to unit workflow standards in a fast-paced environment
• Wear scrubs in-house

Requirements

• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Gastroenterology Laboratory or similar environment
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment
• Active nursing license (certification to submit not required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Epic electronic health record system
