Travel Nurse RN - Float - $2,345 per week

About the role
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care across various medical-surgical units within a Level 2 trauma center. The role requires flexibility to float between departments and campuses, ensuring optimal patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform head-to-toe patient assessments
- Administer medications by various routes
- Document care plans
- Provide wound, line, and drain care
- Use Epic Electronic Medical Record, Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals machines
- Float within MedSurg units on Broadway, SMCF, and South University campuses, covering specialties such as oncology, trauma, cardiac, neuro, observation, and behavioral health
Requirements
- ND RN or Compact State License (current or in process)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent Medical Surgical (MS) experience in a large hospital (minimum 200 beds)
- Experience working in a Level 2 or higher trauma center and high-volume hospital setting
- Previous float pool experience preferred
- Willingness to complete one full shift of training on each of the Broadway and SMCF med-surg units, plus campus tours and team expectations overview
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday
- Minimum 36 hours per week
