About the role
The position is for an Endoscopy Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves working a mix of nine-hour rotating day and evening shifts, with on-call responsibilities required. The RN will perform procedures including ERCPs, assess patient conditions, and provide conscious sedation monitoring. The assignment is scheduled to start on September 7, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform endoscopy procedures, including ERCPs
- Assess patient conditions
- Provide conscious sedation monitoring
- Start IVs and assess history and physical information
- Post-procedure recovery for patients receiving conscious sedation
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation medication
Requirements
- Certifications in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in Endoscopy
- Recent experience in a trauma 1 facility or a large facility (500+ beds)
- Experience in a teaching facility
- EPIC electronic medical records experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR system, and facility type
- Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires from November to April
- Explanation of any employment gaps over 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Schedule
- Monday to Sunday, 10-hour shifts
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions (next session: 09/21)
- Mix of nine-hour rotating day and evening shifts with on-call responsibilities
