About the role

Endoscopy Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) position in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized care in an endoscopy unit that performs various procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and EBUS. The RN will work independently and collaboratively within a high-acuity environment, supporting both intraoperative and pre/postoperative patient care.

Staff provide care during basic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures on high-acuity patients, supporting highly specialized physicians in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in an endoscopy unit performing EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and EBUS procedures
• Support intraoperative and pre/postoperative patient care in a high-acuity environment
• Perform infection control, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team during intraoperative activities

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year current acute care Endoscopy Laboratory experience
• BLS certification
• Experience with Olympus endoscopes and reprocessing

Preferred Qualifications

• PACU experience
• ACLS certification
• Familiarity with circulating and technical procedures involving endoscopes

Schedule

• Day shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Call requirements: two shifts a month from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call shifts typically 3 or 4 weeknights from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Additional shifts on weekends and holiday coverage as needed
