About the role
The Endoscopy Laboratory professional will operate within an acute care setting, providing specialized support for endoscopic procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Enteroscopy, Endolumenal Surgery, and Advanced Disinfection. The role involves setting up and troubleshooting advanced endoscopic equipment, assisting with complex procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and disinfection standards. This position starts on 08/31/2026 and involves a schedule of 10-hour days with call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage specialized imaging catheters
- Assist with tissue biopsies
- Set up advanced electrocautery devices
- Handle balloon catheters for small bowel visualization
- Assist with endoscopic suturing and stent deployment
- Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards
- Undergo a Pass/Fail exam on skills learned during orientation (passing score of 90%)
Requirements
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy or related field
- Located within the region
- Float rotation may be required
- No artificial nails in patient care areas (hospital policy)
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (or 3 shifts for shorter durations)
- Charting system: EPIC
- No license to submit required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and EUS
- Familiarity with high-level disinfection standards
