Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room / Trauma

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, evaluate history, vital signs, and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, assist with life-saving procedures like CPR, ACLS, and manage trauma cases.
• Work with physicians and healthcare team to develop care plans, assist with diagnostics, and communicate patient status.
• Observe patient conditions, record treatments and outcomes accurately, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Explain diagnoses and procedures, provide emotional support, and advocate for patient needs.
• Follow protocols to ensure a safe environment, use PPE, and respond appropriately to biohazard situations.
• Handle emergencies effectively, provide discharge instructions, and educate patients on follow-up care.
• Collaborate with ER staff and mentor new or less experienced team members.
