Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,724 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department for a travel nursing assignment in Concord, North Carolina. The position is for an Emergency Room RN with an immediate start, requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care per procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations and advise patients/family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain vital signs and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, and administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, NRP, and CPI certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (ER preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting at least 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving or lifting patients.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
