Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,481 per week

Specialty: ED - Emergency Department • Discipline: RN • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, evenings • Employment Type: Travel

Responsibilities

  • Work in all areas of the ED, including cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback
  • Adhere to patient experience requirements:
    • AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)
    • Respectful behavior
    • Patient experience focus for each patient
    • Update patient boards with information and provide updates throughout visit
  • Work with available unit staff (techs, unit clerks days and nights)
  • Flexibility to meet department scheduling needs, including every other weekend
  • Open to floating to all sections within the ED (no floating outside the ED)

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting
  • Teamwork mentality
  • Certifications required before starting date:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Hospital Specifics

  • Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
  • Documentation system: Cerner
  • Scheduling must meet the needs of the department and cannot commit to block scheduling
