About the Role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 101 beds with typical patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds. Techs are available to assist in the cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage. Unit clerks support both day and night shifts.
Unit & Hospital Specifics
- Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required; no block scheduling; must meet department needs
- Floating policy: No floating outside the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
- Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, respectful behavior, patient experience focus for each patient, whiteboards updated with information, and patients updated throughout their visit
- Certifications required before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
