Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,439 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour evening shifts. The position is an immediate opening for an Emergency Room RN with 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. The RN will work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions in a fast‑paced, urgent environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for any allergies patients might have.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; up to 50 pounds when moving/lifting patients
• Good stress‑coping skills
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and
