Job Description & Requirements

Emergency Department is a large, academic unit with 40 beds, serving over 70,000 patients annually. Requires 18 months of ER RN experience within the last 3 years and previous Level I Trauma ER experience. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5. Cares for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, STEMI, stroke, and trauma. Must have moderate and deep sedation, central venous line insertion, laceration repair, traction, BIPAP and ventilator management, drips, pacing, cardiac monitoring, and chemical restraints. Experience with drips such as levophed, neo synephrine, esmolol, nitroglycerin, dopamine, and dobutamine is essential. NIH Stroke Scale certification and tele interpretation are required.

  • Registered Nurse, ER Experience: 2 years
    Travel Experience: 1 assignment in Registered Nurse, ER
    Certifications: BLS-AHA; ACLS-AHA; PALS-AHA; CERT-TNCC; CERT-NIH Stroke Scale

    Scrub Colors: Navy Blue
    Previous Travel Experience (Unless Perm Exp is Similar to ER Setting Here): In Compliance with Artificial Nail Policy
    Level I Trauma Experience: Preferred Qualifications
