About the role
Travel nursing assignment at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Unit: Emergency Department (A Level).
- Number of beds: 38 (3 main areas: Rapid, Main, POD 3 – psych safe area)
- Staffing: 7 day-shift RNs, 7 night-shift RNs, 5 mid-shift RNs
- Equipment: Vent, BiPAP, EKG, Art Lines, Belmont, Chest Tubes
- EMR: Meditech
- Typical procedures: Port placement, chest tubes
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing and time management in a fast-paced emergency setting
- De-escalation and patient care in high-stress situations
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Required certifications: see facility requirements
- Floating to Brookside ED as needed
Qualifications
Must-have skills (non-negotiable):
- Prioritization and time management
- De-escalation training
- CPI (preferred)
