Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,312 per week

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, evenings and nights
• Every third weekend required
• Mid-shift schedule: as early as 10:00 AM–10:30 PM, as late as 1:00 PM–1:30 AM

Unit Specifics

• 24-bed unit with 1:4 patient ratios
• Unit secretary available 21 hours/day; 5 core RNs on 10:00 AM–10:00 PM shift
• Equipment: Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, Alaris pumps
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating policy: Rare; only if other staff have been flexed home
• Patient Experience requirements: Use of AIDET, whiteboards, positive attitudes, “can-do” culture

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and trauma nursing care in a Level 2 trauma center
• Perform all procedures associated with Level 2 trauma, including trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in a Level 2 trauma center
• Current Kansas RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC; NIH certification
• Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, TCRN
