Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts, evenings and nights (variable, mostly nights & evenings)
- On-call and floating may be required based on department needs
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with state nursing standards
- Perform nursing and delegated medical functions
- Monitor treatment plans and provide patient education and counseling
- Document care accurately and coordinate referrals
- Respond to emergency situations
- Float to other departments within competency as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage
- Support high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- NRP – Required (as appropriate for the unit)
- Previous Emergency Department RN experience preferred
- Strong skills in patient assessment, nursing care, health teaching, clinical documentation, treatment planning, and emergency patient management
- Must be willing to float to other units within scope of practice if needed
