About the role
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment for patients presenting with emergency and critical conditions. Floating to other units and on-call responsibilities may be required based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform emergency patient assessment, triage, and critical care
- Develop and monitor treatment plans
- Administer therapies and medications
- Document patient care accurately
- Provide health education to patients and families
- Coordinate referrals and interdisciplinary care
- Respond rapidly to emergencies
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered emergency care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Float to other departments within scope of practice as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage if required
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- TNCC – Required
- Strong skills in clinical documentation and patient education

- Night shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
