This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from respiratory infections to trauma cases. The role requires flexibility to float between the emergency room and medical-surgical units to ensure optimal patient care. Job Details Certifications and Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Minimum 2 years of ER experience required. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities: Provide emergency care for conditions including pneumonia, cellulitis, dehydration, UTI, chest pain, stroke, and other acute or chronic conditions. Manage critical interventions, such as IV drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, norepinephrine, and other medication administration. Be able to perform and interpret EKGs and blood gases independently. Float between ER and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining organized workflow and effective patient management. Additional Information: Must be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating good time management, organization, and leadership. Knowledge of ventilator troubleshooting and proficiency with bi-level PAP devices is required. Self-scheduling and rotating weekends and holidays are supported.
