About the role
San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico is a 198‑bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region. The Emergency Department has 48 beds plus flex space, uses a team‑nursing and pod system, with patient‑to‑nurse ratios of 1:4 in the main ED and 1:6 in Fast Track. The EHR is Cerner. Patients present with chest and abdominal pain, COPD, CHF, ESRD, cirrhosis, substance use disorders, and behavioral health needs. The department includes an assigned social worker and unit educator. Farmington offers access to hiking, kayaking and other outdoor recreation, about an hour from Durango, Colorado.
Requirements
- RN with an associate degree in nursing or higher
- Minimum two years of experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation

Schedule
- Shift: 7 p.m.–7 a.m. (night shift)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- At least two weekends per schedule
- No call or floating required
