Travel ER RN jobs in Grand Marais, MN place you in a 16-bed critical access hospital on the scenic north shore of Lake Superior. The facility offers emergency services and serves a diverse patient population, including residents and visitors to the area. Grand Marais is a charming lakeside town surrounded by the Superior National Forest. Duluth, the closest major city, is about 110 miles south, making it roughly a two-hour drive for urban amenities and travel connections.
You will work in both the ED and Med/Surg, so floating is required. ED nurses tend to cross-train quickly to Med/Surg at this facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a 16-bed critical access hospital
- Float between ED and Med/Surg departments as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota or a compact state
- At least one year of recent emergency room experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required)
- No more than 30 days gap in work history
- One professional reference from the last 12 months
- MN Nursing license (or copy of application for temporary MN Nursing license) required with submission
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems (preferred)
