Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,205 per week

Job Summary

The role requires providing critical care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment within a Level IV Trauma Center, primarily during night shifts. The position involves managing a diverse patient population with a focus on trauma, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and behavioral health cases.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 1845-0715, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Valid licensure as an HCP in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 3 years of strong emergency department experience; first-time travelers are welcome if they have EPIC experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications.
• De-escalation training such as MOAB or CPI preferred.

Support on the Unit

ED Techs work in various shifts providing support, including U/S-guided IVs, EKGs, paperwork, and paging consults. The charge nurse is available 24/7. Additional staff include triage nurses, phlebotomists, ED Case Managers, Physical Therapists, Intake Counselors, Public Safety Officers, RTs, Hospitalists, and House Supervisors.

Charting System/Equipment

Proficient use of EPIC EMR system; bedside telemonitoring with no tele tech required.

• This is a high-pressure environment with 25% utilization.
