Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Pontiac, Michigan.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: ED - Emergency DepartmentDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (List Format): - Provide emergency nursing care to patients with serious symptoms or medical conditions caused by illness or injury in a 24/7 emergency department. - Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with conditions such as stroke, heart attack, seizures, severe injuries, uncontrollable bleeding, severe burns, and abdominal pain. - Rapidly respond to life-threatening situations and administer appropriate interventions according to established protocols and certifications. - Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Level II trauma and accredited stroke center. - Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination. - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, dress code (gray scrubs), and state/federal regulations. - Work at McLaren Oakland, a 328-bed hospital serving Pontiac and Oakland County, Michigan, with available outpatient and specialty services. - Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC. - Fulfill state licensure requirements for Michigan and maintain an active RN license at the time of submission. Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Department (ED) experience (required). - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC (required). - Michigan State RN License, active at time of submission (required). - Compliance with McLaren's local traveler policy if applicable.Med Ninjas Job ID #18478.
