Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,185 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Cortez, Colorado. The assignment begins October 19, 2026 and lasts 13 weeks. This is a travel position.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care following procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (including at least 1 year of ED experience).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.
