The role involves managing post-surgical, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, and obstetric emergencies. Candidate must be proficient in airway management, cardiac drips, codes, and stroke/STEMI management. The position is distinctively scheduled for night shifts. Job Details: Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); 18 months of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Not specified Float: Float rotation may be required Additional Information: Experience in airway management, rapid sequence intubation, cardiac drips, codes, and stroke/STEMI management required Support staff includes ED techs, LPNs, resource nurses, and respiratory therapists Phlebotomy and US-guided IV insertions are part of the unit operations Utilizes Epic electronic medical record system, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system Orientation includes NEO (new employee orientation) No floating required, with a weekend rotation every other week Time-off requests can be approved No on-call responsibilities involved Holiday work required every other holiday Scrub color: Navy blue Parking is free Benefits The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include: Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID #1314283.
