Job Summary
This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy ED setting. The role requires applying clinical skills and supporting patient needs across a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics, with a focus on trauma, stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and other urgent conditions.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience
- Valid nursing license
- Located within the state of Maine or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience with charge nurse duties and ED procedures such as EKGs, IV starts, nebulizer treatments, vent management, and suture removal
Support on the Unit
- Laboratory technicians primarily on dayshift, available for call for unstable patients
- Mid-level providers with variable hours
- Hospitalist available 24/7
- House supervisor and ED techs present during shifts
- Security on site 24/7
- Critical care transport team available in ED

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
