About the role
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a busy healthcare facility. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, administering medications, patient education, and documentation. The ER nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Valid nursing licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- At least 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
- A minimum of 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience
- Educational requirements as per state regulations
- Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with charge nurse and preceptor roles
- Ability to work independently
- Strong assessment skills
- Familiarity with emergency department protocols
Additional Information
- Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered
- Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
- The healthcare provider reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within the 13-week contract period
