Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,000 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a travel nursing opportunity in Perrysburg, Ohio. This position involves working in a fast-paced, urgent care environment with a diverse team of caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long-term care needs
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients
• Good stress-coping skills
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment

Schedule

• 13-week duration
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour rotating shifts
