Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,999 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Portland, Oregon. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care per procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods; lift up to 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs when moving patients.
• Cope with stress and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
