Responsibilities

• Work in a 27‑bed Level II trauma ED that is a certified chest pain center and thrombectomy‑capable stroke center.
• Staffing varies from core (4 RNs or 3 RNs + a medic, 1 EMT, 1 EMT/secretary) to max (7 RNs + medic or 6 RNs + 2 medics, 3 EMTs, 1 secretary).
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4:1 with a charge nurse who typically does not carry a patient load and can cover critical cases; manager/director provides 24/7 backup.
• Use Meditech (DOS platform) EMR for documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1‑year current ED hospital experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications (PALS may be substituted for ENPC).
• CPI Blue card.
