Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,969 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Decatur, Georgia. This is an immediate opening for a 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care following physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations and advise patients/families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, and administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.

Skills

• Ability to cope with stress in a fast‑paced emergency environment.
• Skill relating to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Physical capability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds (patient lifts may require up to 50 pounds).

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, for a duration of 13 weeks.
