About the role
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in an Emergency Department setting, utilizing clinical judgment and adhering to hospital policies and state Nurse Practice Act. The position emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, and maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly assess patients and assign Emergency Severity Index
- Provide immediate interventions and stabilize critical patients
- Administer medications and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Delegate and supervise assigned personnel in accordance with organizational policies
The unit has 24 beds with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4, and 1:1-2 for trauma cases. Scrub color: Royal Blue. EMR system utilized: Cerner. Blocked scheduling may be requested; 48-hour weekly guarantees cannot be approved.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Missouri state nursing license or pending license review
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Schedule
- Dayshift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- 36 hours per week minimum
- 12-hour shifts
