Job Summary

Emergency Room Nurse in Illinois

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Responsible for evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with other specialists and ancillary departments as required, and adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and efficient flow through the Emergency Department. Maintains clear communication with Emergency Department physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results. Must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.

Required Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Nurse license
• BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
• 0 years minimum experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• TNS (Trauma Nursing Service)

Additional Information

Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and communication needs of patients and their families. Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
