About the Role

Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ED) at a Free Standing Emergency Room (FSED) in Wichita, Kansas. The main campus is a 500+ bed teaching hospital serving as a Level 1 Adult Trauma center and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma center.

Expect a dynamic environment with big-city amenities and a Midwestern cost of living. Wichita offers diverse dining, shopping, and cultural attractions, including themed gardens, museums, and interactive wildlife areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
  • Handle a wide range of emergency cases, including trauma and pediatric patients.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of ER experience.
  • Active RN license (Compact accepted).
  • Certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, PALS-AHA, TNCC, ENPC.
  • SSN and date of birth required for compliance.
  • Work history with no more than a 90-day gap in the last year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech electronic health record system.

This not-for-profit facility recently opened the region’s only dedicated pediatric hospital and completed a $36 million renovation to enhance community healthcare services. The emergency department includes a Level I trauma center and Level II pediatric center, serving approximately 24,000 patients annually.

Pay

Pay rate: $1,812.00 - $1,905.00 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Includes tax-free stipend.
