AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
About the role
This travel nursing position is at a 580-bed Level 3 Trauma center and teaching hospital, serving as a regional trauma center with specialty units for cardiac and cancer care. Tuscaloosa offers a lively college-town atmosphere with attractions like the Riverwalk, the University of Alabama, and the Paul W. Bryant Museum. Birmingham is approximately a 1-hour drive away.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize critical thinking skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Work with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems, if experienced.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent emergency department experience (2 years preferred).
- Required certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, PALS-AHA, CERT-TNCC (copies needed).
- SSN and date of birth required for compliance.
- 1 professional reference from the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR systems.
Schedule
- Duration: 7 weeks.
- 36 hours per week (36 or 48 hours optional).
- Shift: 12-hour nights.
Pay
Pay rate: $1,655.00 - $1,740.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
