Travel Nurse RN - Director Long Term Care - $2,162 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Long Term Care Director of Nursing for a 13‑week travel assignment in Newman Grove, Nebraska. The position starts ASAP, requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts, and is a travel nursing role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring residents receive high‑quality, compassionate care
• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures to meet federal, state, and facility regulations
• Train, supervise, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
• Track resident care outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and well‑being
• Ensure the facility stays compliant with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, state health departments) through audits, inspections, and corrective action plans
• Oversee medication management and nursing interventions following best practices and facility protocols
• Work closely with physicians, administrators, and care teams to provide well‑coordinated, comprehensive resident care
• Manage the nursing department budget, including staffing levels, supply costs, and resource planning
• Promptly address concerns from residents and their families to help facilitate a positive care experience
• Oversee infection control and safety efforts, ensuring a clean, secure, and compliant environment for residents and staff
• Take on other responsibilities as needed to support the facility’s mission and goals
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Director of Nursing
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification

Qualifications

• ACLS Certification (preferred)
• Other certifications may be required for this position
