Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR RN for a 13-week assignment in Tacoma, Washington. The position involves providing direct and indirect nursing care, preparing the CVOR for surgical procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
  • ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification preferred

Essential Work Functions

  • Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgical procedures
  • Prepare the CVOR for the patient and surgical procedure
  • Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team
  • Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure
  • Position patients safely using approved devices
  • Participate in Universal Protocol and timeout
  • Handle and document specimens accurately
  • Provide post-surgical care coordination
  • Audit, plan, and evaluate the nursing care of the patient
  • Ensure sterile procedures are followed
  • Respond effectively to emergencies
