Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,720 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. The role requires flexibility in floating between units and working every other weekend, with a focus on managing complex cardiovascular cases in a fast-paced short-term acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care unit
• Manage complex cardiovascular cases in a fast-paced short-term acute care facility
• Float between units as needed
• Work every other weekend
• Manage arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, CVP monitoring, and cardiothoracic post-op care
• Care for patients post-open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, including patients requiring ECLS, CRRT, and other advanced cardiovascular therapies

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Orientation hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2 years of clinical experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant CVICU experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• CCRN certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with charting system Epic
• Community hospital experience
• Trauma level II experience
• Travel experience preferred

Additional details

• Patient ratios: 2 patients during days, nights, and weekends
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily census: Approximately 22 patients
• Float rotation may be required between units
• Candidates must meet compliance documentation deadlines and provide references covering at least one year
