Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,395 per week

About the role

The healthcare provider is seeking an ICU Open Heart (ICU OH) nurse for a short-term assignment. This role involves caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions in a 24/7 acute care setting, including post-operative open heart patients, with a focus on advanced hemodynamic monitoring and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with complex cardiac conditions in an acute care ICU setting.
• Manage post-operative open heart patients.
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and use specialized equipment.
• Occasionally act as charge nurse on night shift.
• Float to Acute Care Unit and Medical‑Surgical units as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license (valid).
• ACLS and BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.

Skills

• Open heart surgery patient care.
• CRRT management.
• Temporary and post‑permanent pacemaker management.
• Acute MI pre/post‑cath care.
• Mediastinal/chest tube management.
• Ventilator management.
• Hypothermia protocol implementation.
• Administration of drips such as Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, vasopressors, and sedatives.
• Advanced cardiac patient management and hemodynamic monitoring.

Schedule
