About the role
Froedtert Health is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.
- Provide clinical competence in the care and management of adult patients, particularly those in the CVICU and TICU settings.
- Support staff during night shifts.
- Manage specialized devices such as Balloon pumps and Impella devices.
- Ensure high-quality care for overflow CVICU patients.
Requirements
- 2 years of RN - CVICU experience.
- Associate's degree in nursing.
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
- AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA-approved equivalent.
- CVICU RN travelers trained on Balloon pump and Impella devices will be prioritized.
Schedule
- 13-week contract.
- 3x12 Nights, every other weekend.
- No on-call.
