Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,635 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. The position starts 09/28/2026, lasts 15 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and will work with a diverse team to care for patients following specialized procedures such as open‑heart surgery and heart transplants in a fast‑paced, critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
