Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,500 per week

Job Summary

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized adult and geriatric patient care within a state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU focusing on cardiac and critical care. The position offers a weekly scheduled shift of 12 hours, with guaranteed hours and rotating weekends. It requires candidates to have recent cardiac ICU experience and relevant certifications prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized adult and geriatric patient care in a 12-bed cardiovascular ICU
• Perform rhythm interpretation
• Assist with bedside procedures, drips, and vents
• Float to other areas based on census as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• At least 2+ years of cardiac ICU experience
• Proficient in rhythm interpretation
• Able to assist with bedside procedures, drips, and vents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing STEMI, N-STEMI, PE, cardiogenic shock, and post-cath patient populations

Unit Information

• 12-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 2:1 up to 4:1 depending on acuity
• Equipped with vents, Swan-Ganz catheters, balloon pumps, art lines, and CRRT equipment

Schedule

• Dayshift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends

• Attire: Royal blue scrubs required
• Open-toed shoes, jeans, sports clothing, spandex, and certain piercings are not permitted
