Job Summary

The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) registered nurse position is located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care within a cardiovascular intensive care setting, supporting adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac diagnoses. The position requires flexibility with rotating shifts and aims to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Maryland state license for registered nurses
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
  • Current certification in NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of ICU experience
  • Patient ratio experience with 1-3 patients
  • Epic charting system experience
  • Experience in community hospital, LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care), trauma level I or II settings

Special Procedures/Unit Details

  • Besides standard ICU procedures, special procedures include bedside central line and arterial line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, targeted temperature management, and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy).

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
