Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,407 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) position in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, travel employment type. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (as indicated)
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Qualifications

1‑2 years of recent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a cardiovascular intensive care setting.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or positioning patients.
• Strong stress‑coping skills for a fast‑paced, urgent critical‑care environment.
• Ability to relate to patients and families of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36
