Unit details
- Type of equipment: Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: C/L employees float as needed, typically to other ICU's but can include other floors.
- Procedures performed on unit: Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, etc. on unit.
Required qualifications
- Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience
- Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
