About the role
Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment in Prescott, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Treatment of fresh open heart patients directly from the operating room
- Performing IABP, RRT, Impella procedures
- Interpreting cardiac rhythms in an in-room setting
- Working 12-hour shifts, nights
- Reporting to a Charge RN and House Supervisor 24/7
- Managing patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 based on acuity
- Providing care for cardiac surgery and high-acuity cardiac patients including AMI, CAD, and PVD
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent CVICU experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Fresh Open Heart patients, IABP, RRT, Impella, and Dysrhythmia testing
- Pass a Dysrhythmia Exam (80% within 2 attempts) before contract start
- No holiday requests allowed during the contract period
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
