Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Tuba City, Arizona. The position is for 13 weeks starting August 24, 2026, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN, valid RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. CCRN certification and TNCC, NIHSS certification are preferred.

Essential Work Functions

Assess and monitor critically ill patients, administer complex medications and treatments, operate and manage advanced life support equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses, provide education to patients and families, communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies, adhere to strict infection control protocols, engage in quality improvement initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read/write in the English language, comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities such as remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (50-100 lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail. Sensory to possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
