Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $2,046 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Louisville, Kentucky. The position is for 9 weeks starting August 10, 2026, with 36 hours per week and a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Document significant conditions, reactions, and interventions
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Provide patient education
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures
• Adhere to infection control protocols

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• Preferred: CCRN certification, TNCC, NIHSS certification

Qualifications

• Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, and assist with procedures
• Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the general public, work under close supervision, and continuous concentration to detail
